On Sunday 21st March 2010 GiftsOnline4u.com got involved in the Sport Relief Mile. We invited all our friends and family to take part. It was a lovely day and we raised over £200 for Sport Relief.
Sport Relief is a great cause, below is a bit about Sport Relief in a nutshell: When you fundraise for Sport Relief, you’re doing something truly incredible. That’s because all the money you raise is spent by Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people, both here at home and overseas.
Sport Relief 2010 has culminated in a phenomenal weekend of fun, with the whole of the UK coming together to get active, raise cash and change lives.
Sport Relief has a unique history of dedicated people doing extraordinary things to make a difference – from David Walliams’ swim across the English Channel, to Eddie Izzard’s amazing marathon a day around the UK.
And that’s not to mention the thousands of incredible people who rise to the challenge by doing the Sport Relief Mile.
All the money you raise for Sport Relief is spent by Comic Relief to help disadvantaged people, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries, to turn their lives around.
Your fundraising cash might be spent helping kids in Africa get into primary school or supporting an isolated older person in the UK to meet other people so they feel less lonely. But one thing’s for sure – the money you raise will help to make the world of difference to people’s lives.
For Sport Relief 2010, they are highlighting three of the many issues your cash will help to tackle – children who live on the streets or work in dangerous conditions, people affected by malaria and local UK projects.

At GiftOnline4U.com we think that fundraising and any charity work that helps improves the lives of people less fortunate then ourselves is a fantastic and worthwhile cause and that is why we love to support and get involved with these events. We are lucky also to have great family and friends who also wanted to get involved and show their support too.
A Sport Relief Mile was organised in Peterborough at Ferry Meadows, to encouraged more people to come we set it up as a day out where friends and family could meet up, mingle, have an ice cream and do their bit for Charity. It was a fantastic turnout and just over £200 was raised with each family donating an amount to the fund or carrying out sponsorship.
Above are some of the people who got involved with the mile! Well done and we think you did a great job!
