Date to remember: Father’s Day 16th June 2024
Father’s Day was first celebrated on 19th June 1910 in Washington. The celebration slowly filtered its way to the UK. However, it wasn’t actually made an official celebration until 1972. Father’s Day is now a fixed date in the calendar and the tradition isn’t going anywhere!
Even if you know your dad, step-father or grandfather really well, finding a meaningful present each time is tough. Will they like their gift? Will they put it at the back of a cupboard or, even worse, throw it in the bin? If you’re after a bit of inspiration that won’t end up in a bin, consider a personalised gift. For a business dad, a wallet or an engraved pen could do the job. If he’s a BBQ King, sizzle his grill with a BBQ set complete with his name. For a dad who enjoys a tipple or three, customised alcohol or engraved glassware might be worth a shot.
Spoil your hero or first love with a gift that has a personal touch. The ideas are endless.
