Bis 3 These envelopes are super quick and easy and most ingredients needed are cupboard staples!    Do you think your batch of biscuits could earn a Hollywood Handshake? Then why not give this recipe a try.   Ingredients: 200g butter. Softened 200g caster sugar 1 tsp vanilla bean paste 1 large egg 425g plain flour.   This will make approx 30 biscuits.    Method:   First things first! Grab your apron and preheat the oven to 180C (fan) 200C / Gas mark 6.  Taking a mixing spoon, cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl.  Then add in the egg and vanilla bean paste and beat well.  Add the flour, work together to create a dough, then divide into 3 portions.  Working with one at a time, lightly flour the work surface and gently knead the dough until it’s smooth and pliable. If it still feels sticky add a scattering of flour and knead to work it in. Repeat until the dough loses stickiness.  Take a rolling pin, and roll the dough out, making sure it’s not sticking to the work surface by keeping it lightly floured.  Cut out your biscuits using a cutter of your choice, and transfer to a lined baking tray.  Repeat the process with the remaining portions of biscuit dough. If you have dough left over, wrap in cling film and pop in the freezer! Allow the dough to defrost to room temperature before using again.  Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until the edges turn to a light golden brown colour.  Once cooked, allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.   Decoration:   Once your biscuits are completely cooled, it’s time to get creative! Using icing sugar decorate your biscuits however you wish, add your personal message by adding food colouring to your leftover icing. A piping bag or an edible icing pen will help for the finer details.  Place your “show stoppers” on a cake stand ready for your judges! In an airtight container the biscuits will last upto 1 week, or can be frozen for up to 3 months! All that’s left to say is… On your marks get set… bake!  We would love to see your creations, be sure to share your bakes with us! @GiftsOnline4U Using icing sugar decorate your biscuits however you wish, add your personal message by adding food colouring to your leftover icing.
