Personalised Gifts Inspired by Picasso

Have you been on holiday this year? Perhaps you’ve been to a museum or gallery? Chances are you’ve seen something this year that has inspired you. A wonderful view, a magnificent event, an exciting experience or you’ve learnt something new – inspiration is everywhere. Sometimes it helps to talk to others who are creative and share ideas to get your creativity juices flowing.

At GiftsOnline4U, we’re forever chasing creativity and inspiration and on a recent trip to Spain, we ventured into the Museo Picasso (Picasso Museum) in Malaga looking for unusual ideas and influence through art. The one thing that struck us about Picasso’s synthetic cubism was the variation of shapes, textures and his different views of subjects (usually objects or figures) together in the same picture. As a result his paintings appear fragmented and abstract. As a synthetic cubist, Picasso’s works often include collaged real elements such as newspapers, and this got us thinking. Could we create our own take on one of Picasso’s cubist portraits using our personalised gifts? We gave it a go and here’s our creation…

Combining products with different textures and shapes such as our engraved multi-tools, and folding comb, we could replicate the finer details in Picasso’s portraits and used coloured objects like our personalised pens and bracelets to define key features within the face.
